About The Fundraising System: The Fundraising System is a full-service fundraising consultancy, providing strategic counsel, operational support, interim Development Director services, proposal and report drafting, board development and training, and more. The Fundraising System was founded by, and is directed by, long-time fundraiser Matt Bregman.


Position Overview: The Fundraising System is seeking a highly organized and proactive Accounts Manager to join the firm. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, proactive, project manager with a special talent for keeping multiple initiatives on track. The Accounts Manager will be the second employee of the consultancy, reporting to the founder Matt Bregman.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Track all ongoing projects and tasks, ensuring that founder and clients are always oriented in terms of their specific calendar of activities and upcoming deadlines.
  • Information Management and Data Entry: Maintain access to essential, updated information regarding prospects, donors, and other stakeholders for each client. Assist in maintenance and optimization of client CRMs via custom fields, dashboards, prospect tracking, and periodic reporting. Oversee data and gift entry as outlined in the scope of work for select clients.
  • Prospect Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential donors and funding opportunities.
  • Meeting Documentation: Take detailed meeting notes, assign action steps, and ensure follow-up on all tasks.
  • Client Follow-Up: Follow-up with clients directly and/or prepare founder for follow-up calls to ensure that clients remain on track with their tasks and deadlines.
  • Solicitation Mailings: Oversee the preparation and distribution of solicitation mailings on behalf of selected potential clients.
  • Grant Proposals and Reports: Prepare and submit grant proposals and reports for selected clients.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize meetings, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
  • Administrative Support and other tasks as needed.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organization: Extremely strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proactive, problem-solving orientation: Innate inclination to find joy in solving problems and creating order out of chaos.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using project management software, CRMs, research tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud proficiency is ideal, though, not required) and other relevant tools.


Experience:

  • Required: Proven experience in project coordination, office management, or related activities.
  • Preferred: Experience with fundraising and/or nonprofit or stage management.


Work Hours, Conditions, and Compensation

The Accounts Manager position is a full-time position (35 hours per week) paying $63,700 per year though a part-time arrangement is also possible. The position is fully remote but may require occasional in-person meetings if the candidate lives in or near New York City or Northern New Jersey. While the schedule can be flexible, it will overlap with conventional work hours (i.e., Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm).
